One of the highlights of our trip in Kanazawa was discovering this charming little restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. It's a shame we only found it on our last day in the city. Thankfully, my limited Japanese was sufficient as the hosts/servers spoke excellent English. They helped us navigate the menu and get the most out of our dining experience. I would return in a heartbeat.

We were pleasantly surprised by our first night in Kanazawa at this restaurant. The quality of each dish was outstanding, and we tried a variety of items. The combination of exquisite aromas in the Izakaya setting created a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!

Absolutely amazing! Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had! Prepared right infront of me. The staff was amazing, very courteous and friendly. The head chef, with everything he had to do, took the time to meet us at the door and wish us a good night. Highly recommended to all if ever you visit the beautiful city of Takayama.

What a bucking good young and girl! one of the most fun bars in kyoto. I made a reservation and when I showed up, they were waiting eagerly outside. once in the inner I discovered our oshiburi warm serviette) had a welcome message! the personal is so genki and they simply make the night entertaining. great food, fantastic service, good prices. I cannot recommend this place very well enough.

It is difficult to find a negative review for this amazing restaurant. It is deserving of a Michelin star or at least a Bib Gourmand nod. The dining room is styled like an Izakaya with most menu items priced between ¥400-1200. An English menu is available, but the daily specials board is in Japanese only, so be sure to ask the staff for recommendations. We enjoyed everything we ordered, including pork wrapped in ginger, chicken breast with spicy cod roe mayo, filet mignon, nodomaguro, eel, tempura shrimp in a spicy sauce, tempura sweet potato, and grilled zucchini with truffle oil. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, even allowing walk-ins like us without reservations. However, it is recommended to make a reservation to ensure seating. For parties of two, request to sit at the counter for a great interactive experience where you can watch the chefs at work and see your dishes before ordering.
