He said he was supposed to take every table we wanted. we were at the end of the deck, right over the beach. we ordered meeladas to drink and were large, spicy and delicious and very refreshing. the menu is large with mostly seafood option, but we were told that we can order everything we wanted and they would make it. the first time we had delicious tortilla suppe, a rich brew full of delicious tasty. we also had the gourmet potatoes that were finger strips of grilled potato with a delicious dip sauce and also had the tempura cheese salad. that was so unique with cheese pieces that were dipped and fried in tempura. much better than croutons. I had the grilled fish that was a big fish, with an amazing sweet, spicy, creamy sauce roasted and grilled. that came with rice and a little salate. it was very big, but I couldn't get enough. my man had grilled, garnished garlic, which were large and perfectly cooked. we came back to the second dinner and were reminded. we had another dinner with taste. the squash soup was super rich, creamy and tasty. I had a boned fish filled with garnel and otopus, grilled and covered with an amazing cheesy, spicy sauce. I've never tasted so delicious. my man had shrimp quadillas that were like small bags of cheese and garnel. so delicious. both of us could not believe the bill because it was so cheap. the service was very personal, friendly and welcoming. it takes a while to get her food, because it is all cooked to order, so it is worth waiting. come here, drink, kick on the feet, enjoy the view on the beach and as a super delicious meal.
We found this place randomly, and our taxi driver recommended it, so we had to try. the daughter of taxi driver married the owner. Eat is grat. on the first day, loved it (best pina colada ever). asked if they had lobster and jose. because he could get us the next day. So we came back the next day and they were some of the best lobster we've ever had. came some days later back for a special sope that was prepared for us (was a big went again several times and got hummer again. we also drove the horses, very funny!
Only a year old, this little gem is rustic and very laid back. The menu included such simple fare as tortilla soup and fresh quacamole as well as fresh Camaronillas (handmade, fresh shrimp tacos more like a stuffed Gordita), and fresh Filete de...Pescado a unique fresh fillet breaded and grilled in garlic and oatmeal. Beside great food, the setting is absolutely amazing! We went horseback riding on the beach before dinner, lazed in the crystal clear swimming pool and even played a little beach volleyball ALL while enjoying cold drinks and great service! The owner/host Jose Angel and his family/staff were excellent I highly recommend the short minute drive/cab ride from downtown Zihuatanejo for this special treat! Oh, and don't forget to leave time to watch the sunset and take a short siesta in one of the many hammocks available right there on the beach! We'll definitely be back!
