As usual Trip advisor did the trick. This place was highly recommend and indeed this place was amazing. Everything we had was great, fresh ingredients, fantastic presentation and most importantly, amazing taste. Indeed highly recommend if you are around that beautiful area and you are...not, then it is worth the special drive.

The starters were very good. We ordered fish and steaks, everything was over salted, very salty potatoes and salad. a pleasant surprise from the service, everyone was under the influence of alcohol.

We were lucky that they were able to give us a table as we had not booked the next people in were turned away). They warned us that the kitchen was busy and service would take a while; which was true but not a...problem because of the pre-warning and some pumpkin pate which they provided. They did not have an English menu but they helped us double check that our phone translations were accurate before we ordered. The menu is very orientated to local game. The soups were lovely. We had x pumpkin and a mushroom and a vegetable consommé between us and were impressed. The mains felt very authentic (one duck and variations based around deer/venison). There seems to be a lot of salt in these local dishes which left us a bit thirsty when we got back to our apartment. I can see why it gets such good write ups.
