Chumbe Island Coral Park - Zanzibar

Our stay in Chumbe Island was incredible! The view was unique and breathtaking, the wildlife was diverse and beautiful. I would recommend snorkeling in the morning! The staff was pleasant and very attentive.

100% would recommend we stayed only one night as part of our honeymoon, but in Hindsight would like to stay a few nights more! Chumbe was definitely the highlight of Zanzibar for us (after kiting and diving in Paje).

This place is just incredible. I'm not impressed, but we're being blown away. It is really ecological with a compost toilet (which works perfectly fine, solar energy and pelvis around the bungalow to collect water that is used up. They spend all day out, breathe fresh air, sleep to the sounds of the ocean and wake up by the birds singing up. In the evening you can admire the amazing coconut baskets. Only 15 guests are allowed on the island so that it is quiet and peaceful. There are candlelight dinner and breakfast / lunch with sea view. Tableware are fantastic local cuisine with vegetarian options. The staff is super helpful and experienced, happy to satisfy all your wishes. We are deeply grateful for this experience and want to make Chagga, Hamza, Khadija, Coppa and all from the team behind the scenes for our stay truly unforgettable! The coral park is fantastic and you will see more fish than you can count: pictures cannot even describe the magic, you need to feel this island and its reef, it is the most unique place. Therefore we can only recommend staying at least 2 nights.

This place is exceptional. We stayed here for 2 nights, and it was one of the unique experiences of my life. The cabins are natural and comfortable, fucked in the forest near the beach. The food was exceptional, with beautiful touches for evening meals (cann illuminated food in beautiful places near the ocean . The staff was universally friendly and dedicated. There are activities organized every day, including snoring at an untouched coral reef with great biodiversity, informative forest hikes and evening walks to visit the coconuts. There is also a lighthouse that you can climb with magnificent views of the island and the sunset. Staff were even friendly enough to snore us in the morning and evening, outside the usual program of activities. In addition, Chumbe has real eco registration information. They practice minimal impact tourism, including composing toilets and water harvesting systems in each cabin. Benefits are invested in training and education programmes for local communities and students, thereby enhancing awareness of environmental issues. Once in a lifetime experience, stay there overnight. Your money will help the project. The whole team will pamper you; The coral reef is one of the most beautiful I ever saw. Trust me, this is a MUST.
