Lazuli - Zanzibar

When we got there a bit past 7 pm, there was only one couple, and even though it took Ages for our food to arrive, nobody else came in. We just ordered two plates of spaghetti and a strawberry shake, and it took about an hour! The strawberry shake was not really a shake, more like a slushee that tasted so artificial that we had to leave most of it. There were vegetarian dishes on the menu, but the food wasn't good someone must have added some curry powder to our tomato sauce. The place is decorated like a beach cafe, but there are neighbours sitting outside and random people constantly walking in and out of the place and its kitchen. The latter really made me question how hygenic the kitchen was....

I'm sorry to give a star, but I wish I didn't leave. nice staff. the veggie burger is just a patty kartoffeln. it was only seasoned enough to give it color, and it was served with fries. the pommes were good. my friend had the curry a few days before and said it was sucked. Maybe they're better with meat. they had edible foods that can be made vegan, but I don't think they should be on this list.

The title says everything. that was the most tasty meal I had in my 5 days in stone town. I have the sweet curry bunny chow and the bananen ananas kokossaft. delicious and unique!
