Mala Kavana - Zagreb

Must see: the place to sit, talk and rest from the crowd in the very center of Zagreb. Recently renovated. Iconic terrace.

Went there the first day after the reopening. It seems that the cream cake was left from when they closed...it created some stomach discomfort. Cappuccino was very average, actually bitter, they need another coffee brand. No attention to details, just bring you some stuff. Only stars I give for its location since it is on the main square and has nice view.

Great location to sit down and relax on a hot afternoon. Ice coffee is different to other places around the world. Instead of just an espresso shot with ice cubes you actually get a proper drink with whipped cream and milk. The prices are higher than in other cafes but the service is good. Toilet and air conditioning were available inside.

This is the finest traditional coffee shop in Zagreb. The position is best, the service is of a high standard and the interior is very well built and maintained. I have been coming here for 14 years and seen it revamped a little, without losing the highest standards. You will not be let down by careless inattentive teenage staff, like at so many other trendy coffee shops which come and go overnight. Enjoy!
