Le Gourmet - Youghal

I tried some incredible cakes at this restaurant during the summer. I have visited three times in the last two days, but each time I have not been able to find anyone to help me. Yesterday, I saw a dark-haired girl in the back talking to someone I couldn't see, completely ignoring me as I waited. I eventually left. I returned later, but still couldn't find any staff. Today, once again, there was no one around to assist me. I am left wondering if this bakery is operated on an honor system or if it is just poorly managed.

So friendly, the nicest staff ever. Stunning selection of cakes! An absolute must if you’re visiting Youghal.

Le Gourmet is a bakery and deli in Youghal and it really prides itself on the freshness and quality of the food. I’d highly recommend any of the breads and deserts which are baked onsite. I’d also highly recommend the mixed salad box for lunch, it’s hard to beat. For less than €5 you get an amazing lunch which will keep you satisfied for the day.

Returned to youghal this summer to visit the clockgate which was fantastic. I went back to my favourite spot Le Gourmet for coffee and pastries. Can't beat it for quality and value for money.

Was drawn into this bakery by the magnificent looking meringues stacked in the window. Tried a small merengue loaded with cream and fresh fruit. The best meringue I've tried in Ireland so much chewey goodness. Recommend take away there's only a small area to sit. Head with your purchase to the mall beach a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by.
