Menaggio Ristorante Grill & Wine Bar

The decor was a bit outdated but still nice, and the atmosphere was fairly upscale. Despite being a kid-friendly hotel, it wasn't too loud or chaotic. We had a short wait to be seated, but since it wasn't busy, they told us to choose our own table. We opted to sit outside on a nice evening. The service was quite slow, but we later found out that some staff members had called in sick. While not an excuse, it explained the delay in getting our drinks and food orders taken. The food arrived after more than 20 minutes, which felt like a tactic to encourage us to order more drinks while waiting. The menu wasn't extensive, but that wasn't a bad thing as they executed their dishes well. I liked the salmon, and my friend Karen enjoyed the pork tenderloin. The portion sizes were generous, and the limited menu made it easier to make a decision. The prices were a bit high for my liking, but the discount helped make it more affordable.

I was in Markham for business and chose to stay at the Warden Monte Carlo Inn. I had stayed at this hotel before COVID-19 and was surprised to see that the restaurant is now part of the hotel. Jenna and her staff are doing a fantastic job. The menu is excellent and I commend the chef. Keep up the good work. JR

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Monte Carlo Downtown. We were blown away by the exceptional service from manager Jenna, who made us feel truly special. Dinning went terrible under the par expectations, would not recommend anyone. Services food and the environment nothing was even on par. very bad experience.

They are open until midnight. Waited and after 45 minutes down to the reception and was told that they decided to close early THEY FORGOT THE ORDER. Incompetent. I then took a closer look at her reviews and now I understand DON’T TRY TO EAT HERE!
