Dickey's Barbecue Pit - York

Last Friday night, I placed a takeout order with several items. When I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes later to pick it up, the woman at the counter informed me that half of my order was out of stock. Instead of notifying me when they received my order, they chose to wait until I arrived to let me know. I requested a refund, but was told I needed to call back the next day to speak with a manager. I did so, and the manager said he couldn't locate my order slip—even though I provided him with my order number—and that he would need to consult the owner to process my refund. A week has passed, and I've received nothing. The customer service has been abysmal, and management has taken no action. No refund after more than a week. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant and finding another place for BBQ.

I had a really disappointing experience with the customer service at this restaurant. I went in to pick up an order for a customer and ended up waiting for 15 minutes, only to be told that they were out of the item I needed. When I asked how long it would take to fulfill the order, the person at the front said, "I can only do one thing at a time. I need to help the customers in line." It was frustrating because I had arrived before any of those customers. Based on this awful service, I won’t be returning to this restaurant. It was a short white man at the front who was particularly unhelpful. I've been here before and had great experiences with the other staff, but this individual is really tarnishing the restaurant's reputation.

I’ve attempted to order from this restaurant multiple times, but it always seems to be a hassle. They’re frequently out of something, or they close earlier than expected. The one time I successfully managed to get delivery, the meats were completely dried out. I won’t be ordering from this place again.

So I bought a Groupon that said 10 for 20 and stil basically paid 20 for the meal so they get over on you and you’re paying 2x don’t use Groupon I spoke to the owner he needless to say ignorant and couldn’t understand what I was saying he said basically just to get customers in and thinking you’re getting a deal and it’s not however I’m gonna use it out camphill where it’s done correctly

This place was horrible, will not recommend to anyone and will never go back. We order pulled pork plate with fries and a brisket sandwich. The pork was undercooked and cold. Had to force myself to eat a few bites to not waste the complete $26 we spent. The fries were undercooked and had a nasty seasoning on them as well as they didn't have ketchup for them. The brisket was not brisket at all and was very dry and cold. The bread that came with the meal was so hard it could have broken a tooth and was utterly disgusting. The BBQ sauce was dry and cold. It was literally one of the worst experiences I've had, expected much more from a BBQ place and will make sure to choose and tell everyone to choose mission BBQ if they want good BBQ bc this place deserves negative stars.
