The Windmill - York

I'm not sure what happened, but the restaurant is closed and available for lease. It's a shame, as it used to be a great spot for drinks and meals.

The restaurant was very peaceful during lunch on a weekday, but the staff and food were both fantastic.

The food was not good and there was no atmosphere at all.

Brilliant food and genuinely the best service I've seen in a restaurant for a very long time. Our 2 year loved it. Staff were engaging and attentive without being overbearing. Nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back again.

Took 45 minutes for 3 Sunday dinners to arrive. 2 wafer thin slices of beef, roast potatoes were cold and hard, Yorkshire puddings were aunt Bessie's. Since this place got taken over its hugely gone downhill. The place used to be a fabulous place to go.. Always queuing to get seated but the place wasn't a third full today. Quite dissatisfied
