Grassy Sprain Diner - Yonkers

I have been visiting all the diners in Yonkers, and this particular restaurant meets all the typical expectations of a diner. The menu is varied and consistent, with decent service. However, I found it a bit dull and lacking in exciting flavors. I prefer dining at restaurants that offer unique and unexpected dishes, rather than typical diner fare. The mark of a good restaurant is to surprise and delight customers with innovative flavors, atmosphere, and service.

Absolutely disgusted! The owner needs to value his employees! It was 82 and humid out side and it was cooler than in that diner. The employees were noticeably uncomfortable the staff was dripping sweat! How do you sleep at night? The people in food service work very HARD to serve you patrons. Clearly you do not respect the fact that your employees allow you to be successful clearly as a customer you don't care about us so why should we continue to give you our business?! I have never been so uncomfortable eating in my life! I could not enjoy my food. You should be ashamed of yourself. You were asked to put the ac on and you refused?! OSHA needs to visit this establishment! Let's normalize respecting our staff and providing them a safe working environment!!! If I could give negative stars I would! Do better for your staff and your patrons!!!

I’ll leave 4 stars because when you dine in the experience is excellent. There’s consistency when it comes to the dining room platform. You always get the same workers and the same great service.As far as take out is concerned, they need serious help. They shuffle counter workers every few weeks so I feel like I have to train their workers on my order. I order the same thing every day which is a fried egg sandwich, American cheese, on a roll , not toasted. I never change my order. i stopped calling to order because they were somehow messing it up. They almost never read back the order so I have to request for it to be read back and even then there are mistakes.Owners managers get your arms around your front counter. Your take out orders are just as important as your dine in customers. I go to McDonald’s for my coffee and I’m always greeted with a smile and they automatically know how I like my coffee each day. A smaller venue should be just as consistent as a big chain restaurant.

Excellent food and service!! Always make it a point to grab breakfast or dinner here when I work down in Yonkers.

The restaurant is a bit cozy, but I received excellent service and enjoyed delicious food. Plenty of parking available.
