Teranga - New York City

I was walking by on Sunday and decided to stop in for lunch at this amazing restaurant. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavorful and well-prepared West African food. They offer a variety of set meals that come with a choice of meat and sides - I chose the yassa grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is located in the African cultural center and the space is beautifully decorated with stunning photography. I will definitely be returning soon!

Mido and the staff are very welcoming. The place smells incredible. Afrobeats are playing in the background. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating and decorated with African artwork. It is a must-visit spot where you can grab some great food, a glass of rose, and then enjoy a walk down Central Park.

I have passed by this restaurant countless times on my bike and never realized it was located in the Africa Center. I am so happy I finally discovered it and had the opportunity to dine there! There are plenty of food and drink options available, and everything I tried was not only delicious but also affordable. The service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend checking it out!

Hidden gem in the community. Only open on weekends, this is a spot to go to for some West African food. The bowls are delicious! Spicy goodness ?You can order from a selection of bowls or make your own custom one.I am definitely coming back and get a bowl once a month. Delicious ???

Seriously good food: the chicken suya hits all the right smoky-tender-juicy notes, and the plantains were some of the best I've ever had.
