Contribuiți la feedbackIt’s hit or miss. The food is always great but the service has been completely different both times I’ve been here. The first time, my party and I were waited on throughly and never had an issue, the second time, I came with my family and we were ignored except for having our order taken and brought out to us. No asking if we wanted a drink refresh (water and soft drinks) and at no point did the waitress say anything more than “ok” when we finished ordering. We couldn’t even ask for more to drink because as soon as she dropped the food off she rushed back to the kitchen and didn’t come back out except for necessity. I put 3 stars because the food is downright amazing and tasty but the service is a toss up of what you’ll get. 1st time definitely 5 star service. This 2nd time definitely 1 star service if not worse. After this second experience I’m not sure I’ll come back which is a shame because the food is good and the owner is really sweet. I’m just not interested in making the hour trip out here for a potential subpar experience.
The restaurant catches your eye instantly. There’s music playing the menu has an astonishing variety of traditional Mexican dishes. I had their tacos de carne asada it was delectable. Spanish is also spoken there!
Feels a little unfair to judge Mexican food in Japan. Aztecas is by no means incompetent. But what they make is standard fast-food Mexican fare. Can still be very satisfying in the right context. Had the frozen margarita. Made with a home blender rather than a true commercial slushie machine, and suffered for it. Large chunks of ice.
Most authentic Mexican I have had in 30 years in Japan. Hand made tortillas, and refried beans and large portions.
Good food and good ambience! The staff was nice and helped to make customized vegetarian dishes.
