Galaxy Chinese Restaurant Yeppoon

We have never written a bad review before, the waiter gestured something incomprehensible towards a table we had just been told we could not have leaving us standing there confused and bemused. The mud crab soup had no crab at all The service was surly and rude throughout One of our dishes was lost

I went to this restaurant with my family on a visit to Yeppoon. We have visited both the Happy Sun and Galaxy restaurants since the late 80s with my mother actually working at the old Happy Sun. Not realising that they had combined the two restaurants into one I called the Happy Sun and booked for the buffet 'all you can eat ' as we were dining with children and thought it might be the easier option. First of all they wanted to charge $6 for a 13 month old baby. Then after I had paid the $23.80 each for the adults. I noticed as a vegetarian the only thing I could eat was one type of noodles. The omelette had meat, the fried rice had meat, most noodles had meat and the spring rolls had meat. NO mixed vegetable dish at all. I asked to order off the menu instead which was fine but one main dish, small steamed rice and one serve of vegetarian spring rolls came to $29.60 which I paid. Only to be told moments later that I had to pay a few more dollars because the staff had charged me for take away spring rolls. I wasn 't paying $30 plus for one dish and entree (rip off) so asked for my money back and had Thai on the esplanade.....which was delicious.

This Chinese restaurant offers buffet style dining where you can help yourself to as much food as you want. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. There is a good variety of different foods to try, although some dishes were not very hot. Many people also come in for takeout orders.

During our two-night stay in Yeppoon, we arrived late and decided to dine at a Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and colorful, with vibrant decor. The staff was friendly, but the drink selections were limited. Overall, the food was tasty.

Beautiful authentic Chinese food, fast and wonderful staff. Always a weekend takeaway, sechuan prawns, mongolian lamb, special fried rice!
