Carlton Gore Cafe

Our family visited Carlton Gore for coffee and this place was a gem! Loved the atmosphere, outside was great not too hot or cold and most of all the food. Coffee was great, brownie was probably the best brownie I’ve had in ages. Almond croissant is recommended too :

Very happy, my food was delicious, as was wifeys. Only forced by her to drop the rating because there was no child’s options. Now I’m not a fan of making extra food (which usually is pretty limited in nutrition value) but what about some small portion options?Actually after the coffee I think this deserves more, I’m going to 5 it and suggest you look at small portions too

Dining in for lunch on a Saturday was surprisingly quiet! Styled with white wire chairs, shades of blue cushions and marble tables, this cafe looks sleek! <br/ <br/ There are plenty of great options on the menu we were spoilt for choice. We took our waiter, Donald’s recommendations and ordered the Signature cured eggs bene and Herb corn fritters. The eggs bene was different! But worth the risk with sugar cured prawns, poached eggs, toasted croissant and sambal hollandaise sauce it had just the right amount of spice. Definitely worth trying for a new take on a classic and if you like prawns or a bit of punch in your sauce. The prawns and poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The corn fritters were nice and fresh and far from simple. The fritters worked well with the sides of poached eggs, avo, tomato relish, kale, shredded pecorino cheese and beetroot purée. A great option for vegetarians. <br/ <br/ Coffee was a great and served just the way we like it. Thanks Donald for the great service and good recommendations. We’ll be back to try more dishes, which we hope will be just as good as the ones we tried today!

Love this cafe! The food is spot on, the staff are very very friendly, they have wifi so I could sit for a little bit and work, and a huge selection. Also it’s not too busy either
