Glaze - Wycombe

In the frame of a virgin experience we had a night in the crowne plaza marlow, which included a three-course dinner and breakfast. the meal was absolutely delicious with four choices per cursor. the presentation and taste were of a very high standard and a very pleasant surprise for a hotel restaurant. beautiful supplements made it extra special like camramelized nuts and a macron with the tarte tatin for dessert- see photo. I dropped a star because unfortunately the service did not meet the high standard of the meal. we waited a long time to give our order, our starter came before our drinks, the waiter had to be reminded of our water and there was a long waiting period before they took our dessert order. we were also not given any bill at the end of the meal, as it was part of our Virgin package, but at the review from the hotel the next day the congratulation without our approval was added - this is a real annoyance from me and I asked that it be removed. it's a shame that we could not just tap the chefs. the next day the breakfast was excellent. it was self-serving and there was a huge selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, chalk, toast, cold meat, cheese, baked and a complete English breakfast with high-quality products to choose from.

We went to the afternoon and afternoon tea in the restaurant glaze and the service was excellent. grace was attentive and friendly so our experience was beautiful. the fish and chips were very good and the burger was a generous part. would return for the service. thank you grace!

Our first visit to room 142 at this hotel won't be our last. The check-in process was quick and courteous. The room was a club room, incredibly clean with a large and comfortable bed. The extras in the refrigerator included water, KitKat, juice, and Coke - though my only complaint would be the black plastic cups, I would have preferred white china. There were plenty of seats around the winter garden bar to relax and the floors were spotless. Despite the lack of a view outside, once inside we were treated to wonderful views of the Thames. We stayed on a Virgin Experience Day which included prosecco, truffles, spa access, breakfast, and a 3-course meal. The young lady who served us went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. We have stayed in numerous hotels along the Thames during our travels, but this has quickly become our favorite. The evening meal had limited choices, but the service was fantastic. Breakfast had a wide selection and the scrambled eggs were particularly good. The breakfast server was friendly and attentive. The duty manager at breakfast was welcoming and the service was excellent. After breakfast, we enjoyed a coffee overlooking the Thames with our waitress Bridget who was wonderfully polite and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay!

On a Saturday evening, our stay at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and made our experience a pleasant one. The dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast on Sunday was just as good. Marshall took very good care of us and Bridget was also excellent. The breakfast had a fantastic selection of food that catered to everyone's preferences. We will definitely be staying here again.

This hotel and restaurant were fantastic from the moment in which we were warmly and efficiently received at the reception of the service and the amazing quality of the foods in the restaurant. the only bad bit was the bad service in the bar, 25 minutes for a drink and it was not even so busy. we had an executive room with secret escapes and had a nice stay. the photo shows hotel from the lake.
