Neirs Tavern - Woodhaven

This is a fantastic local spot with delicious comfort food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a friendly crowd. The staff is attentive and makes you feel right at home. One of the major highlights is the variety of activities they offer, including trivia night, stand-up comedy, karaoke, game night, and a jazz brunch. It's always a good time here!

Joe was excellent—very helpful with suggestions and attentive throughout our visit. The cocktails were delicious. The Thai Chili Honey Wings were pretty standard. I enjoyed my Fish 'n' Chips, and she loved her Famous Neir's Burger. They have a new menu (photos attached) that has removed some items I wanted to try.

We had an excellent portobello burger and beef burger. The staff was wonderful, and there's a great backstory to the restaurant. We will definitely be returning!

Regarding the food, I really enjoyed the wings and fries, so much so that I ended up ordering two portions. I also tried the fish and chips, but I wasn’t a big fan of the fish because it had too much batter that didn’t seem fully cooked. Other than that, it was pretty decent. One thing worth mentioning is that the drinks were somewhat unusual. I ordered a Coke and ginger ale for the table, but both beverages tasted like generic versions rather than the well-known brands. They weren’t bad, but I wish I had known that Neir’s didn’t serve Coca-Cola products. If they were using Coca-Cola, then their soda machine might need adjustment since the flavors were definitely off. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’m looking forward to returning. Our server, Joseph L, was also very nice and attentive.

As always proves neirs why it is the place to go for great food and service. Beyond the story that it has, it makes the place to go with friends or family if they want a great experience.
