We arrived on a quiet Monday afternoon and enjoyed some coffee, cheese and pickle toasties, and mulled wine. The service was excellent and the café started to fill up as the films were about to begin. The Lighthouse also hosts a variety of films, theatre performances, and community events, so there is always something interesting happening. Our bill came to £30.60 for the two of us. Overall, a great experience. Regards, Gary Saunders.
I often have business meetings at this restaurant, and it's the perfect, laid-back spot to visit. The food is affordable and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxed.
After trying to eat this meal, I need some emotional healing. The bacon was extremely thin, the Tesco value white bread was hardly filling, and there was only a minuscule amount of ketchup. This meal lacked any love or care. I wish I had gone to a different restaurant in town instead.
Smashing place for a light lunch, particularly if you're here to see a film: sitting in the covered courtyard can always cheer up a rainy day!
Situated in the Chubb building and part of the Lockworks/Lighthouse complex this is a lovely little venue. There is a limited menu but that's ok. Staff are great. Good before going into a film there or one of their other events. Good if you just want a coffee and bite to eat, or somewhere to do a bit of work/study. Look up what goes on there recent release films in a cosy cinema, support groups of many languages, exhibitions. This is a great little venue which we need to support.
