It did come with a Potato but that was pathetic! Oh, Do you want bread, that's extra! I like small restaurants and wanted to try this place but they need to figure out, fast! When Outback has better food and cost way less, then there's a problem! Food: 2
My recent visit to Matthew's Steakhouse had its ups and downs. Here's a breakdown of our experience: Pros: Good Service: We were impressed with the attentive and courteous service throughout our dinner. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel welcome. Convenient Reservation: Booking a reservation through OpenTable was a breeze, and it saved us the hassle of calling in. It's definitely a more convenient option for those planning a visit. Delightful Appetizers: The appetizers were a highlight of our meal. In particular, the peaches and bread service left a memorable impression. It was a delightful start to our dining experience. Cons: Undercooked Steak: Unfortunately, the evening took a sour turn when my wife's 6oz filet mignon arrived severely undercooked. We appreciate that they offered to recook it, but even after reheating, the steak was still cold in the middle. This was quite frustrating for us, especially since my wife loves a perfectly cooked steak. She only managed to take one bite of her meal, which was a significant disappointment. In conclusion, our experience at Matthew's Steakhouse was a mixed one. While the service and appetizers were commendable, the undercooked steak left us with a less-than-ideal dining experience. We hope that they can improve the consistency of their food preparation in the future, as it would greatly enhance the overall dining experience. If you are looking for the best steak in Central Florida (Orlando area) we recommend checking out Linda's La Cantina. Better pricing and extremely consistent steak temperature.
Our first time since the new owners took over. We had a reservation for 11 people for my husband's birthday. There are four types of steaks on menu and they were out of two of them. I don't understand how a restaurant runs like that, it was a 6:45 pm reservation not 10 pm , at a restaurant that opens at 5 so how can you run out of 50% of your menu ? The food was delicious but steaks look very small for the weight. The service was decent but we ordered 2 bottles of wine that was left on the table and waiter did not refill our glasses. Not service I would expect at this price point. I will not be back.
I love filet mignon, and this is THE Best! The flavor was excellent and was perfectly cooked! In my opinion this beats Capa, Kres Chophouse, Capital Grille, and Ruth’s Chris any day of the week! The owners are so nice! They even made a special (and delicious vegan meal for my wife. Definitely plan on going back again soon. Such a great experience!!! Just make reservations on open table and put any comments on there ahead of time (They actually read them!!! Rare these days! . Certainly a birthday dinner I’ll never forget! Vegetarian options: The chef/owner was very accommodating for my wife who was vegan. Just give a heads up on open table comments when making a reservation. He made a delicious meal and dessert! Dietary restrictions: The owners are super accommodating and mindful of any guest(s dietary restrictions. And anything the chef cooks will be delicious!
Had a delightful dinner! The staff and owner are very personable they even helped me make sure the meal was allergy free for me! Definitely coming back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
