I will share photos of the shocking lack of hygiene and the unattended disabled toilet that doesn't even have a lock on the door. It's disrespectful to disabled individuals. The place is filthy, absolutely horrendous! We only lasted 20 minutes and wish we hadn't wasted the hour we paid for. We couldn't wait to leave. £12 for an hour would have been acceptable if the place was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. It's such a shame because the concept is great. I also reached out to them via email with my concerns, was told they would look into it and get back to me, but they never did.
Despite my reservations, I still decided to book a visit because my previous experiences had been positive. However, when we arrived, my daughter needed to use the restroom, and we were told that none of the toilets were working. We were directed to go to a nearby carpark, which was very inconvenient, especially with my 5-year-old and 1-year-old in tow. I couldn't even find the carpark toilets. When I returned and expressed my frustration to a staff member, I was met with a dismissive attitude. I explained that as a heavily pregnant mother with young children, it was unacceptable to expect customers to walk to a separate facility for basic amenities. This wasted valuable playtime and added unnecessary stress. The staff member simply said it had happened earlier in the day, but they should have closed or contacted customers to inform them of the issue. No compensation or alternative was offered, just a brief apology. Overall, I was deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be returning. It's a shame because I used to enjoy this place, but the lack of consideration for customer needs and lackluster response to issues have turned me off completely.
My experience at this restaurant was terrible. The cost of the soft play session was too high considering you only get 1 hour of play, much less time than other soft play places offer. I am curious about their maximum capacity numbers, as it seemed like they were over capacity. During our session, there was a party going on and I don't understand why we were allowed to book at the same time. There were too many unruly children pushing and fighting. It took 20 minutes to get just 2 coffees, which is unacceptable. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this place.
Great soft play for a 2 year old! Loads of areas to explore and plenty of space for adults to get in and support little ones. It’s nice that the cafe is separated so you can stay and have food outside of the play time slot. They were really kind and let me bring in food to the cafe for my daughter as an exception as she has multiple allergies and there was nothing on their children’s menu she could have. I am also following a restricted diet in line with her allergies and unfortunately the only thing I could eat there was a sausage roll (which was fine). If I had been vegan there would have been no proper meals I could eat as their veggie burger had a real brioche bun and normal mayo. When I went a second time I couldn’t guarantee that they would have any sausage rolls left, so had to take food with me to eat on the way home and was challenged about giving my daughter her packed lunch there despite explaining the allergy situation when I arrived. I appreciate they are running a cafe, and I’ll always get a drink as I don’t want to take the mick, but if you don’t have an inclusive menu I don’t have much choice but to bring food for her. Whilst they were really helpful in answering my questions, allowing me to bring food for my daughter, and providing me with an allergen list, the kitchen didn’t seem to be able to make accommodations to support people with allergies other than nuts. With plant-based diets being on the increase it would be good for them to consider expanding their menu a little to be more inclusive.
I visited yesterday late morning with my husband and our 13 month old. It was lovely and quiet with only toddlers playing. The facilities were great for my little boy and he had a brilliant time, as did my husband! The food I'd say was a little overpriced for what it was but it was still a great atmosphere and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back.
