River City Eatery - Windom

We swung in to RCE for a lunch stop on our drive back to Minneapolis. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with bright colors and some vintage pieces nodding to the history of the town and this specific space as a bakery in the past. You order at the counter and they offer soups, sandwiches, wraps, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and ice cream! My son opted for grilled cheese and tomato soup which he loved. I had the vegetable beef soup and CBR wrap which were both fresh and flavorful. A really nice change up from so many deep fried options along the road. Would definitely recommend making a stop for lunch if you're in the Windom area!

Was driving from MN to NE and found this little place via reviews and LOVED it. Friendly staff, great menu, and delicious food. Highly recommended! Pro-tip: You can order online! We got the Chicken Dance (YUM YUM YUM) and the Modern Grilled!

This place was great! We stopped here for lunch in the middle of a road trip back to Omaha and we were so pleasantly surprised! It is a super cute spot with great food. Tons of options so your whole party will be pleased. The price was very reasonable and the portions were just right.

Another Yelp win! Driving between Iowa and Minneapolis and found this gem of a restaurant. Great and very friendly service, beautiful presentation and delicious food! He really enjoyed the French Dip with freshly fried chips. I had the meatball sub (without bread) and a side Cobb salad (without corn). The meatballs were tender and tasty and the sauce tasted fresh and homemade. It was more than I could eat, so he helped with my salad. We both would definitely stop here again!
