Bull Bay Caribbean Cuisine - Wilmington

We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and found the restaurant empty. A young man then approached us and asked if we were there for a baby shower, which we were not. It's worth mentioning that previous to our reservation, the restaurant had attempted to call my wife and me several times, but we never received an answer. Overall, this place lacks professionalism.

We arrived at the restaurant after confirming our reservations, only to find it closed. Please update the OpenTable listing so others are informed. We tried unsuccessfully to contact the restaurant to avoid this situation. It was very disappointing and frustrating!

This is my second time here, and it's really great! The food was delicious.

Eating was very good, although the server was either uninterested or not in the position to explain to us several menu points, and they did not have several elements on the menu. There were two more tables with guests when we sat down. despite this, the service was inattentive - probably because the three people who worked the floor were all the time on their handys (not sure that the bartender looked after.) drinks (we ordered their special stamp and another fruity concoction) were sick sweet and we chose not to drink them (literal a first.) we had the chicken curry and garnel with ****. both were good, and parts were huge. the mac and the cheese were also good, but very smokey and clearly not vegetarian. not sure what they wanted, but the facility was danceclub meets ozean meets banquet hall. overall good eating at an otherwise strange place.

When we walked into the restaurant the hostess was on the phone. She continued to have a phone conversation while she sat us at a table and told us to “hold a minute.” The host went to clean the next table, walked to the kitchen and back to the host stand when she finally got off of her phone. At the host stand she began to talk to a friend about a party happening soon. When the host finally came back to the table she took our drinks (it took about 5-10 min for water). When the host came back with our other drinks we began to order and she told me to hold on. She yelled across to the bar and said, “what don’t we have today?” We left afterward and we will not be returning.
