The Trolley Pub - Willimantic

Awful experience. The owner was quite rude. If you're not a regular customer or a woman under 25, I wouldn't recommend going there if you expect to be treated with respect. I've had three terrible experiences there.

This is a great, down-to-earth pub for working people. The service is always quick, and I've recently started dining here. They typically offer five daily specials, all at affordable prices, and the food is quite good.

This is the best local bar, but it’s also very welcoming to newcomers. It's an excellent spot to catch a game, no matter which one is on!

I DJ here, and the owner treats me and my guests exceptionally well.

This pub serves both Beer and Liquor drinks. On my visit there were 5 taps for beer with 3 of the 5 being a local beer 2 National Beers (Bud Light, etc). I had a reuben sandwich with potato chips and a few beers and it was delicious. I did not observe any deep fried foods on the menu so if you come hungry expect lighter fare (sandwiches pizza). At first entrance the size of the Pub seems small but the way the owner has laid out the bar there 's actually seating for about 20 around the bar and another 30 or so on a sandwich counter with bar stools that surround the outside of the front bar. And, perhaps best of all, the owners have kept one of the iconic Trolley Booths for seating area at the front of the pub (if you come in the front door, immediately on your right). Oh, and I did see a Georgia Bulldog sticker on the overhead AC Vent right at the bar and the kitchen so I know the owner has had some classy visitors to his establishment. Overall, I 'd definitely go back. In fact, next Wednesday night for trivia.
