Do not be fooled by your first impression of the building outside. If we had, we would have missed one of the best breakfasts in Central Florida. Just outside the villages in northern Florida on Highway 301 is the white and brown building of the old coffee house, the absolutely better days – both inside and outside. Here you really come back in time. This place has been authentic since 1946 with the current owners who have the place for the last 25 years. Chairs and tables are well worn with 50 years of customers. The dining area is divided into two rooms – the larger main dining area with cash register and the adjoining room with its buffet. The waitress (Wanda) is as south as they come and immediately greeted us with water and tea. I ordered my usual unsweetened tea and only realized after Wanda left that she had mentioned with sweet tea. Darn. I missed mine
Biscuits are sooo soft and fluffy and handmade. Gravy is thick and tasty. Good prices for a few hometown cooking! Define a small hole in the wall if you're looking for one!
Great breakfast. The selection includes omeletts, hotcakes and traditional offers. No Frills food and service.
Wow! It was amazing. Buffet is all homemade articles. Just go yourself and see. Omelettes and houseries are also delicious
This little gem of a place had Great food. It has a homelike comfortable feel to it. The staff was friendly. The buffet is stupendous and at a awesome price! It's not a huge buffet but trust me you definitely get enough to eat and choose from. You just can't beat it. We Will definitely be returning hopefully many more times in the future.
