Oakwood Express Smokehouse Grill

The food and service are consistently excellent! This is one of the few restaurants in the area that offers a variety of vegetables, which is a nice bonus since they feature Southern-style sides. The only downside is that it can get quite loud, so I wish there were a way to reduce the noise. However, that doesn't deter us from visiting regularly; it's definitely a mainstay in our dining rotation! As for accessibility, there are parking spaces within 10 feet of the entrance, making it quite convenient for wheelchair users.

Amazing ribs. Amazing, fast service. They make you feel welcomed and at home. If you’re in the mood for BBQ, don’t hesitate to come here. We’re glad we stopped in on our trip back to GA. Tuesday and Thursday are $16 for a full rack of ribs, 2 sides and bread great deal!

On August 29, 2024, my husband and I met some out-of-town family at Oakwood Express in Wildwood, a place I suggested since it was centrally located, none of us had visited before, and I had a gift card. I asked them to arrive a bit earlier than us to secure a table since I was at work. They were seated, but about 20 minutes later, my aunt called me in a panic because the manager was trying to kick them out, stating, "Next time we will not seat you until your full party is here!" As if there would be a next time! I told them to go ahead and order, as I was just 10 minutes away. The food was bland and basic. If you're looking for great BBQ, I recommend Artmans on Highway 42 in Summerfield instead!

The food was good, and the waitstaff were friendly and efficient. However, we had a negative experience with the manager. We were a group of seven, and despite informing the hostess that we were waiting for the rest of our party, she seated us at a table. After we were served our drinks and began looking at the menu, the manager approached us and asked how much longer it would be until the rest of our party arrived. He then told us that we should not have been seated until everyone was there and advised us to wait for the entire party next time before requesting a table. We almost left due to his rudeness, but the wonderful waitress persuaded us to stay. Nonetheless, we will not be returning to this location because of the manager's behavior.

Really enjoyed food was great and service was really great and fast. Can't wait to go back again
