Fishboat Restaurant - White Rock

Visited Fishboat for the first time. Cool decor is what separated them from the other Fish n Chip places. Quality of food was fantastic, and portion sizes are MASSIVE.Lots of condiments, outdoor seating too.I can eat a lot, and finishing a 2 piece fish n chips was NOT easy.Crispy n crunchy on the outside, moist & tender on the inside. and deee- licious !!Generous portion of fries too, not scrawny fries, big fries, perfectly done.

We're from the UK and we visited Whiterock Beach for a day trip while staying in Vancouver. The sign outside the Fishboat says 'Fish and chips as good as England' - trust me, they were better! The fish was really fresh and perfectly cooked with a lovely light batter. The chips were proper hand cut potatoes and the portions of both the fish and the chips were very generous. We sat outside in the sun and it was just lovely. The staff were also really nice!The only way our meal could have been improved was with a beer as the restaurant doesn't have a licence, but that's only a minor gripe.All in all I would highly recommend this lovely little restaurant.

Looks cool from the outside,and that's where the appeal ends. Average to below average food. Sticky table. We are very sorry we stopped here for supper one evening. We were seated inside and could see and hear directly into the kitchen. Yuck! Fish and chips always goes better with a beer, but restaurant is not licensed. Just walk a little further for a better meal.

Amazing batter and the fish was so moist! The staff were very accommodating for our family of six as we sat outside:) We will be back!

Fishboat Restaurant is delicious! The outside is very inviting and is perfect for little seaside restaurant. Their Ling Cod and chips is like no fish other fish and chips I've ever had. I've had fish and chips from England and around Toronto and the GTA and by far this place is tops. My 3 year old daughter who is normally a picky eater devoured the fish. Excellent atmosphere, friendly, kind staff and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back. Thank you everyone at Fishboat for a wonderful experience.
