Sunray - Weymouth

Well what can we say awful used to go there as a child was buzzing fab place to visit, took my family there telling them about this place will never visit again soooo disappointed no menu just a specials board with 7 items on and that was your lot very pricey no starters kids menu read off piece paper manager not dressed to impress my husbands burger raw sent it back puddings 5.95 per slice not impressed at all gutted to tell u the truth

Difficult to ever remember going somewhere worse. I would not suggest to anyone that they visit this place, the sunray was bad in so many ways. It could not be any worse if they tried.

Yesterday I had the immense misfortune to visit the Sunray in Osmington. Since having new management, the menu has halved, it's no longer waitresses service and you have to pay before you eat. We were a party of 10, booked in at 6pm. Upon arrival, we were informed of an hour wait for our food because of a party of 16 and 18. Basic restaurant training don't have a party of 10, 16 and 18 all in at the same time! I asked for starters and was told it wouldn't make a difference because all food is cooked to order. Surely the point of a starter is to bridge the gap before the main?! 5 of us wanted a turkey carvery which was ordered then we discovered (despite it being written on the board) there wasn't any. Another family walked out whilst we were waiting, and another had a very loud disagreement with the manager due to their disgust at the waiting times. Everyone in the restaurant were thoroughly fed up which killed the atmosphere. I also went to the toilet and heard the waitress and manager slagging off a table! After 1 hour and 15 minutes, our food arrived not all at the same time though. No one came to check if our food was ok it wasn't or to apologise for the wait. My steak was overcooked but I dare not send it back for fear of waiting another hour! Please don't think I'm a keyboard warrior. I would have said all this to the manager or a waitress had anyone bothered to clear our plates. We saw no one, so there was no chance of a desert. We left in disgust which is why they make you pay up front!

Staff are over enthusiastic being asked 4 times if the food was ok within 5 minutes of sitting down with my food I feel was more annoying than anything! For £11.90 the carvery was quite dear considering the plates size was of childlike proportion! The food was ok but an over zealous amount of Rosemary sprinkled on the carrots meant I couldn't taste anything else on my plate! Being asked twice if we would like a sweet within minutes of each other just added to the annoyance!! We won't be returning.

Rubbish... Utter rubbish, avoid like the plague. Had to say ,this is the worst pub food I have ever had in my life!! Terrible food and service.. Don't waste your money!!! Try the framptons hotel at moreton nr crossways .. 100% better
