Sake Cafe - Wethersfield

The food at this restaurant was okay. I found my medium steak to be too dry. I ordered steak and shrimp but was served chicken and steak instead. I informed the staff and they took my plate, removed the chicken, and told me to eat while they brought the shrimp. I was amused by the fact that I had to wait 10 minutes for only 4 shrimp in a small bowl. Overall, I would rate the experience a 4 out of 5, but there are definitely better hibachi spots out there.

This restaurant is definitely worth it. I had intended to order sushi rolls from a different place but mistakenly ended up at Sake's. I am so glad it happened that way because I had an amazing lunch. The food was outstanding and so was the service. If you are on Silas Dean in Wethersfield and looking for great food, Sake's is the place to go. I am very happy with my experience.

Our food selections were good. They made a custom sushi dish for my son and the manager recognized we were return customers and brought us dumplings in the house. Nice touch. One dish took so long we had to start eating ahead of the third meal coming so that our food wouldn't get cold. All in all, if you are not in a rush, pleasant staff and good food.

Overall, the food is very good. I've always enjoyed the things I've ordered. The decor is elegant and peaceful, but it's getting a bit stale. The special rolls are creative but feel over priced for what you get; smaller size rolls, high cost. Would recommend skipping the specials, just get regular rolls.

I have my 50. Birthday celebrated here and the staff was amazing. I had 16 of my closest friends and we all ordered Hibachi! The show was amazing, we had a talented cook! The food was delicious! The manager even came by and gave 2 free sushi rolls to the test for all of us! You showed me and my friends a love! Try this place!
