The Pizza Oven West Salem

Had the taco pizza for the first time last night. It was great!

Mmmmm tasty comfort food and wonderful prices!Small town convenience with very friendly helpful staff who are more than willing to make recommendations or suggestions!Wonderful decor and photos of the west salem community! Clean dining area and convenient restrooms available. Gas station next door with walk through makes it a one stop shop.Highly recommend to others as well as will return as always!

My husband and I have been going to different pizza places around the La Crosse area and communities. On fridays. This week was Pizza Oven . I have to say the crust was crispy and very good only thing is one side was darker then the other not to the point of burnt but close. I liked the slight garlic flavor with the sauce and fresh mushrooms was a plus. Both like the toppings on top of the pizza Not under the cheese and pepperoni was good as well. I do have to say and the reason for 4 stars the sausage for the both of us is the worst we have ever had. Will consider going back but will not get sausage on the pizza . We liked the sausage at the south side pizza place, AL pizza and the Red Pine all excellent pizza places. I can add Pizza Oven to the list for good pizza minus the sausage

Poor service. We ordered the family deal and was told 45 minutes. We got there 47 minutes later and was told it would be another 30 minutes. I told them to cancel my order and that we won't be returning there to eat. A phone call to let us know it wasn't ready would have been nice. I got nothing from the girl at desk. Since they moved we have had nothing but problems when we order. This is sad because we really enjoyed their food.
