Altruda's Italian - West Knoxville

Yum! I had the Melanzane which was tastier than anything else we ordered. I wasn?t particularly a fan of the meat sauce. The salad was so good with the chickpeas and beats! And the fried artichokes were perfect. We will surely be back!

Always great food, attentive and friendly service, with atmosphere that reminds you of previous visits with friends and family. I love this restaurant and will be eating here for years to come. Get the fried artichoke hearts, together with the salad andgarlic rolls, you will be set to enjoy some wine while your entrees are prepared. But save room as portions are large anddelicious and nothing is a bad choice. You won't have room, but get dessert anyway! Great way to relax with coffee after meal

The service was friendly and efficient, and the cuisine was a cut above Italian chain restaurant fare! I especially appreciated that the sauce was not overly sweet, as Americanized sauces sometimes are! It 's not a five-star type of restaurant, but it 'svery good!

Was really hoping to find an Italian restaurant that wasn?t a major chain in the Knoxville area. The servers were amazing and food was out in time. Staff was nice. But honestly the food just isn?t worth it. It was okay. Not great but not horrible. Thefood just didn?t seem that fresh or flavorful. I?ve had better pasta made at home and at other major chains. It wouldn?t hurt togive the place a try but to me it just wasn?t worth it.
