Perc Place - West Hartford

WOW! This restaurant is beautifully decorated, thanks to the owner, local high school students, and local artists. From the moment you step inside, you feel the warmth and coziness, resembling a charming Grandma's parlor or farmhouse kitchen. The enticing aromas of the food being prepared will surely stimulate your appetite. The owner previously operated Colonial on Appleton Avenue in Menomonee Falls and has truly outdone herself with her more than ten years of experience running this establishment. Her staff is incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. There's even a cozy corner filled with Wisconsin Badger memorabilia. Ladies, make sure to check out the women's restroom—you'll want to take your time exploring! The hallway leading to the restrooms is also quite fun. I only regret that it took me so long to visit this gem.

After hearing the story about Milwaukee's beloved actor and television personality John McGivern being asked to leave due to his sexual orientation and long-term partner—something the owner disapproves of—I think I'll skip dining at Perc Place. I’d rather not spend my money on overpriced, mediocre food at a place that seems stuck in the past.
