Had a fantastic meal here. Server was so helpful with recommendations. Still salivating thinking about the duck breast.

This place just got better and better with each course. Stylish restaurant, friendly staff, and delicious food. Can’t wait to go back.

Avert provides delicious French bistro cuisine, which is very hard to find in this part of Connecticut. The steak tartare wasn't our favorite, but to be fair, that's a dish that varies in the balance of ingredients from place to place and chef to chef. Everything else was quite delicious and a good example of French bistro cooking. Our duck and steak frites were delicious.The service was also very helpful. It was a busy night when we arrived, and though we had a reservation, our table was unfortunately right outside the entrance where guests were constantly walking in our space. We asked if we could move to a less busy table, if one opened up, and our request was graciously received. In a few minutes, we were moved to a table where we were able to relax and enjoy our meal.If I'm in town and looking for a nice French bistro meal, Avert is at the top of my list.

Great little bistro with delicious food. The escargot is amazing!

Food is great! Drinks are on point. Great place to meet up with friends for drinks and a meal.
