Craft Donuts Coffee - West Dundee

A friend of my friend's recommended this restaurant, and it turned out to be such a charming spot! I've never experienced the quaint atmosphere of West Dundee before, and it made me feel like I was in an old European town. The brick architecture and the rich culture that Elder Oat embodies truly enhance the experience. I tried the cinnamon latte recommended by the barista, and it was outstanding! And I have to mention the Beerendonut—it was wonderfully sweet in a way I can't quite explain. I would definitely return to this city if I'm ever nearby.

We hired Elder Oat for our wedding and they were amazing throughout the whole process. We stopped to check their donuts for a possible late-night snack and ended them for cocktail hour carcuterie boards, donut dessert table and wedding cake! We worked with Brad, one of the co-owners, and we could not have impressed how great it was to work with him. He told us what Elder Oat is about, led us to all the amazing pastries and drinks they offer, and gave the perfect suggestions based on our needs. We even asked them to make special beignets for the bride and if they could make our wedding cake with limited directions and the bakers did such an incredible work with both. The wedding day, while supplying dozens of delicious donuts, they worked to ensure that the day and decorations were perfect. Everything from taste to presentation was beyond what we could hope for from any supplier. After the day was over, we realized how many compliments we received. We reached Brad and the other owners over the praise and they expressed how much work they put in our special wishes. It showed how important they saw our special day and it was the cherry up for us for the whole event. We wish that we have lived in the area to give them more business and praise because they are the real offer: incredible food, incredible people, incredible service!

This is a lovely spot with excellent pastries and a variety of drink options. The focaccia bread served with a spread was delicious, and the plate of bread and tomatoes was a nice touch. The donuts and tea were also enjoyable. They offer some fantastic vegan options as well! I highly recommend stopping by for a quick snack if you're in the area.

Yesterday in a mood. I have the seasonal special lavender glitter. I have mine with oat milk. I also have the brown butter-pecan-cone. It took time to sit on the river. Latte was really good. creamy and not very sweet, which is perfect for me. The Scoone was pretty good. Definitely not sweet, so maybe next time I try a donut instead, but will definitely be back when I'm in town.

The coffee and donuts are great! Everyone who works here is so kind and the shop owners seem to genuinely want to connect with the community. It was also a great space to sit and work from. They had free wifi, a good amount of seating, and plenty of outlets for charging laptops/phones. Very happy to have this local coffee shop!
