Those who did order the tenderloin were very impressed, and I must say it looked impressive. The queen size should suffice for most appetites. It was not thin and sprawling like I've frequently seen elsewhere, but it looked thick and meaty. My club was good, but not amazing. It was impressively thick though.
My office is in West Glen and I'm from Chicago so I wanted to try the Italian Beef sandwich. Could it be the real thing? It is legit, and I've been back a few times and that's all I've ordered. I hear the tenderloins are great, and maybe one day I'll try it. Right now I am having the beef, in fact will be there for lunch again today!
Your most likely coming here for the Pork Tenderloin sandwich and if you are, you wonder be disappointed. They are huge, juicy, and have that perfect crunch. Im not a big fan of places that advirtise 'The Best ' anything when it comes to food, but this one may be warranted. Also tried there onion rings which were very good, I just wish they had a sort of onion ring sauce rather than just ketchup. There cheese curds are pretty bad so I would just skip on those.
Heard about Nick's and thought I would stop by to give it a try. First impressions, decor seemed decent, but there was a weird smell when we entered, not sure what it was. We ordered the Cheese Curds, Bacon Swiss King Tenderloin, Cheeseburger, Italian Grinder, and the Fry and Onion Ring Basket. The King Tenderloin is massive and had really good breading and tasted terrific, but I was only able to eat half, this thing is huge. The rest of the food was your basic good bar food. Definitely worth trying the Tenderloin.
We ordered the queen size tenderloins and onion rings. They also have a king size tenderloins. Everything is ala carte. The onion rings are 6 for $6 or 9 for $9. And your thinking what but, one is honestly the size of a grape fruit and I would challenge you to eat more than two in one sitting. I have always preferred thin tenderloins but, these were very good with no grizzly meat. Kinda hard to find as there is no building sign. It is in the former Mexican restaurant location by the parking garage.....see pics.
