The Head Table Cafe - Wells

Very beautiful place that smells great! Only 4 seats 36 round tables ensure that social distancing is not a problem with more seats outside. Many parking spaces on the back. You keep a clean dining area. You ask your first name to let you know when your order is ready. I ordered Anthony's Meatloaf on Focaccia (educated) and homemade tomato soup with bread (also pictured) that brought them to my table. Really nice atmosphere. No children when I was there, but I noticed a high chair.

This place is lovely! My coffee was delicious...and I'm stuck drinking decaf, so that's saying something. We also tried the mini maple monkey bread, carrot cake and molasses cookies, all top-tier. I'm still having fond flashbacks of the sheer maple magnitude of the mini monkey bread. Definitely coming back here. A lot.

My fav spot for breakfast lunch! I love A Bakery Cafe- everything is made from scratch in house from their desserts to the breads their sandwiches are served on. Customer service is excellent every time we go. I love the Chicken Salad for lunch and the Standard for breakfast and I always snag a maple monkey bread if they have them. Open 7 days a week and in the off season this is a must for locals visitors!

Surprisingly great! I wasn't sure what to expect, even though the reviews were positive, as you can never be certain with counter-service restaurants. I ordered the chicken salad and my husband chose the ABLT, which offered a unique twist on croissants and focaccia. There is a lot of outdoor seating with umbrellas on a spacious terrace. It’s easy to find, and there is ample free parking available behind the building.

We live in a summer community in Wells, and a group of us has formed a breakfast club that meets every Friday morning. Unfortunately, our usual spot has declined since being taken over by new management after many years of loyalty. This morning, five of us decided to try a café and bakery for the first time. And let me emphasize—every single one of us enjoyed it! The venue was spotless, with a great selection of food and baked goods. The service was also top-notch; the staff was friendly, patient, and truly helpful. The food was delicious and, as an added bonus, more affordable than our previous place. We all agree that we’ve found our new favorite spot for weekly breakfast! Yay!
