Stoney Knob - Weaverville

Great place, food, service and ambience. We've been eating there consistently for 8 years and I'll miss it when we move!

My husband and another couple had lunch there yesterday. My husband got a salad with beef on top. He was eating and saw a large black beetle crawling in his lettuce. Still alive! He was horrified as well as all of us at the table. If the lettuce had been properly washed, this would not happen. He got up and took his plate and gave it to one of the cooks behind the counter who took it. Obviously nothing was said or done as we had to tell the waitress to remove the price of the salad from our bill. The waitress said she was very sorry, but no apology from the manager. We are local and will not return.

GF and I had date night here. Wonderful staff, great atmosphere and out of this world good Mediterranean food, highly recommend.
