I asked the clerk for some Bakery items of which she packed up for me then she kept telling me she would take me at the register, I said I wasn't quite done yet but I felt like she was in a hurry to get me rung out. It was not busy and it wasn't closing time. This clerk, an older woman was not friendly. Nice little store but I don't think it's necessary to push a customer into checking out when they aren't done shopping. Won't be going again!
Their baked good are delicious and they have plenty of drink options! Always a place you feel welcome in. The customer service is what they pride themselves on which they should. I personally recommend their blueberry scones.
My 55 year old mother 's first job was scooping ice cream at Jolly Farmer. It 's a Waverly staple, much like Ted Clark 's and St. James Church. You can 't come to the valley without a visit to Jolly Farmer. Jolly Farmer 's scones and brownies are insane, and worth the trip alone. The scones are dense, sweet, doughy, and decadent. I sampled the chocolate chip and the blueberry. Both INSANE (and gone in 2 hours). The brownies with homemade peanut butter icing are rich and fudgy, the kind of brownies that stick to your mouth because they 're just THAT dense and delicious. Big selection of beer, local goods, and other conveniences. It 's just a good old hometown stop 'n shop, but the baked goods are out of this world.
A little overwhelming with the flavor options. There's a few different sundae's offered but every time my husband tried to order something they said they didn't have it. Well then, take it off the menu. It's quite expensive as far as ice cream goes. Most items were $6+. So for a larger family, we spent almost $40 on ice cream. It didn't seem as if there were any correct measurements as far as toppings. Some of us had a lot of chocolate syrup and other barely had any. Because of that, most of the family couldn't even finish the dessert because it was too sweet. The only good thing was that credit cards are accepted there. Most ice cream stands here are cash only.
I had a delicious pastry and cup of coffee here. There's a nice seating area, plus a grocery and liquor section.
