Contribuiți la feedbackWe have a home on the Island and my wife grew up here. So been to K.K. many times. Tonight we met a couple friends and sat at the bar to have a couple drinks and dinner. Rachel behind the bar recommended the Parmesan Crusted Whitefish and split it. Great call. The fillet was very large, plenty for two. The crust was very nice and the fish was perfectly done. Firm and moist and super flavorful. Green beans and potatoes in butter. Very good. And sitting in the open air bar even better. Always worth a visit if you get to Washington Island.
Stopped here in August (2023) during our honeymoon in Door, and was greeted warmly by the owner's son. He mixed a few delicious cocktails, poured a coupla beers and talked with us about the island and history of the establishment. We were not hungry so we did not have any food will do next time! Great place.
The fresh whitefish never disappoints and is the best in the county, the Cajun seasoning is outstanding! The atmosphere is homey and authentic and who doesn’t love going to the island
Last night, I enjoyed whitefish that had been caught earlier that morning by the sole commercial fisherman remaining on Washington Island. My boyfriend ordered the Parmesan fries, and both dishes were delicious—served hot and with impressive speed. Bartender Larry brought a fun vibe to the place and crafted some unique signature cocktails. The atmosphere was charmingly rustic and distinctive. We would definitely dine there again!
I dropped by on a recent early Saturday afternoon and was impressed. The food was fantastic—I had the blackened whitefish Reuben, and it was delicious! The service was excellent as well. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m on Washington Island.
