Parthenon - Washington, D.C.

Good standard Greek diner food incuding excellent baklava with a gussied up decor, cloth napkins, and attentive service that don't justify the high prices for this kind of food solid standard American Greek dishes at e.g. 18 24 dollars for a Souvlaki platter that included decent meat but standard steam table beans, rice, and potatoes. In a word, good but overpriced.

Great food, wonderful ambiance, terrific waitstaff. Consistently one of the best around. Authentic, delicious Greek food. Outdoor dining area is fun and festive during nice weather. Bar scene is fun too.

I really like this place. The food is always good, the service always friendly. If only the prices were a little lower....

Parthenon is reliably excellent. The food is consistently well prepared; the service is friendly and prompt; the management is thoughtful and accommodating. It is a neighborhood gem.

We've eaten at the Parthenon on many occasions, and always found the restaurant welcoming, the ambiance calming, and the food well prepared. This latest visit was no exception. I had their seafood special (recommended by our server), and it was excellent. The other folks with us similarly enjoyed themselves, each choosing a different house speciality.
