Contribuiți la feedbackHad a great experience on our first trip to Amsterdam Falafelshop. The gentleman running the counter gave us a perfect run down how to build our falafel bowl... including smashing the balls. The end result was a cacophony of tastes. I had a 5 ball bowl. My wife went 3 ball. We both purchased a side of pita bread. It was warmed and delicious. The bread is sweeter than a traditional Greek pita... but mm mm good.
Tl;dr: Subpar falafel bowl, but amazing fries and curry ketchup long service time for fast food . Falafel Bowl 3/5: Falafel was kinda dry, and also drenched in sauce. The pickles and other toppings were not bad, but I couldn 't shake the feeling that other established chains just do it better for bigger portions. Fries 5/5: These steak fries were delicious and perfectly fried and crispy even after my drive home as a takeout order. And I wasn 't expecting the ketchup to elevate the fries to a whole new level. I 'm glad I took the recommendations to get fries at a falafel shop! I would go back just for the fries. Service 3/5: Just felt like the cashier didn 't want to be there and it was very quiet. They blocked off where the food is assembled due to covid, which is acceptable, but I wish I could see my bowl being assembled and seeing the toppings instead of just hoping they were good enough. Also there was only 1 person in front of me, and it took what felt like 15 20 minutes to complete my order. I was looking for something quicker.
Have heard really good things about this place so was excited to give it a try. We walked in and the staff member shouted to ask if we had a mask. We did not, so he told us to order online and he would bring it outside to us. Now don’t get me wrong, we wore masks the entire time when the mandate was in place, but the guy working there was wearing his mask under his chin whilst preparing another customers food. Not covering mouth or nose. We scanned the app as instructed and it said it was unavailable. We told the guy this and he rudely dismissed us and said we needed to go and get masks. We decided we would go elsewhere. Disappointing service to say the least. We will not be coming back. If you’re going require customers to wear masks, at least train staff on how to wear them properly. What a joke.
Interesting. It was good. I was really hungry too. First time getting water from a box. Cool. This area reminds me of The Village in Manhattan.
It’s one of my best Experience as I really like discovering new restaurants and trying new dishes I really loved the Falafel Sandwich there it was extremely delicious!!!!!!! the bread was so good and tasty And the variety of the topping definitely will match your preference!! Different kind of sauces , pickles, salads..etc. However this is a little bit small place so you would expect to find it busy and crowded sometimes but the service is amazing and fast, the fries also good and crispy as I prefer. I highly recommend it and of course I’ll keep coming again!!!
