Hao Kai Chinese Restaurant

We arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule, braving the cold and wind as we waited outside until the official opening time. Just 5 minutes after opening, the front door was finally unlocked. However, we were informed that we could not stay until all the food was served. We were disappointed with the service and decided to try the Indian restaurant next door instead.

I had to try this buffet, as the prices seem too good to be true, fortunately I was falsely proven. while this is certainly not good eating, eating is fresh, hot and plentiful, with a good selection of various dressed!

I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese I have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to taste. The meat is not even Luke warm and tastes slimy and fatty. The rice and noodles are dried out as they have been sitting there for so...long. In my opinion the place could do with a visit from the Health department as I am sure there would be a few unethical hygiene practices that would be discovered.

It's hard to beat $50 for a family of five, with under 5's eating for free, at this all-you-can-eat restaurant. The chicken and sweet corn soup is delicious, but be prepared to wait for popular dishes to be cooked. They also serve great dim sims, fried rice, noodles, and Aussie Chinese cuisine. The fruit and vanilla ice cream with topping is a big hit, and tea and water are included. Overall, it's a good budget-friendly option for hot and tasty food. Give it a try!
