Clovelly Restaurant and Bar

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the service is great. I ordered the braised lamb, BBQ beef ribs, and sticky date pudding. All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and the meat was incredibly tender. I highly recommend this place.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have always had a great experience. The menu offers a good variety of delicious meals without being too overwhelming. The staff are always friendly, accommodating, and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are passing through Warrnambool.

During COVID, the restaurant was reorganized and had a clean and minimalist look, which was very COVID-safe. I visited multiple times while in Warrnambool and was told they had recently updated their menu and welcomed feedback. Chefs Johnny and Bryce, along with apprentice chef Mario, impressed me with their creative dishes and delicious food combinations. The starters were satisfying and reasonably priced, ranging from $10 to $16. Here are my recommendations: 1. The Garlic Cheese Sourdough was like a tasty toastie and paired well with beer. 2. The Charcuterie Board was unique with standout items like beetroot chutney and chicken pate, although some cured meats were not to my liking. The Dried fruits worked well with the chutney and dip, especially the apple. 3. The Lamb Cutlets were beautifully presented with minted yoghurt and dukkah, cooked perfectly. 4. The Stuffed Mushrooms were a delicious blend of flavors, perfect for a light meal before a long drive. 5. The Bao Buns were soft and tasty with thinly sliced pork belly and dressed slaw. 6. The Seared Scallops with sweet potato mash, asparagus, feta, and lime dressing were a highlight of my trip. The Pannacotta was a must-try with a perfect wobble and creamy texture. Book a table in advance as it gets busy, and try to get a window seat for stunning sunsets. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. YUM!

Very cozy and friendly restaurant. Food is delicious, especially seafood share plate and cheesecake.
