Downland Cafe - Wantage

This museum is small but packed with information about the local social and industrial identity over the years. It also features a great café for lunch. Admission is free, but they encourage visitors to leave a donation, as the museum deserves support for its impressive collections on display.

It's a small yet impressive museum featuring a wide array of exhibits. Where else can you experience an F1 exhibition through a vibrant tableau overlooking the Sachsen area? The museum offers free hiking brochures tailored for children of various age groups, along with informative panels for them to read. There are also engaging exhibitions for adults and interactive displays. Additionally, the café and the gift shop are truly delightful.

What a delightful little museum! Today was a special workshop day with activities specifically for children, and our 6-year-old absolutely loved it. There were many craft activities available along with an excellent variety of refreshments at the snack counter. The 90-minute session provided plenty of time for adults to explore the rest of the museum as well.

Large museum and very family-friendly. we came and much to do, we went with age of 1-64 in our group and all had a great time. interactive dinge for children, 5 years old really enjoyed the quizzes and interfoil, while 3 and 5 years old enjoyed the duck fishing game and the books.

Amazing Museum packed with exhibits and history. Lovely Cafe with a selection of home made cakes and good menu. Well priced.
