John Brewer's Tavern - Waltham

I really enjoyed the steak tips here. A lightly sweet marinade and a proper grilling made them delicious. I recommend it.

We visited the restaurant on a weekday between 4-6pm when appetizers were half off, which was a fantastic deal. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. We brought our young child and found the atmosphere to be very welcoming for families.

The service at this restaurant was friendly and efficient. I tried the turkey gobbler wrap and it was absolutely delicious! They also had the Bruins game on, so I definitely plan on returning in the future.

Stopped by while shopping for a quick lunch. I ordered the Thanksgiving dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my food. The turkey was juicy and thick cut and the vegetables, green beans and thinly sliced carrots, were fresh and crisp, not overcooked or frozen. I was also pleased that attention was paid to my very serious food allergy, as this is always a struggle.

Came by for the first time in 35 years today. I remember when this place was The Ground Round. In some ways, it hasn’t changed. The stage where they used to have the guitar guy is still there it’s just tables on top now. But enough about the old days. Sat at the bar and the bartender, Kira, was amazing. Friendly and attentive. Ordered the steak tips and they were great. A good crowd for the pats game but all friendly and good natured. Glad the place is still going strong. A great neighborhood place that I hope lasts another 45 years.
