Golden Girls - Walterhill

The homestyle food at this restaurant is excellent. The staff is very friendly. We stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat after getting off the highway. I'm so happy we found it!

It was good except for the biscuits and gravy it tasted like it was sitting for a week

When I travel I like to eat in a one-of-a-kind spot. This was it. We really enjoyed the food and the service. It's your basic home cooking food!

We went to Golden Girl Restaurant in Clinton, TN on Sunday. We were given a recommendation to go there as they had great food. I was expecting the Restaurant to have at least some of the scenes from the TV show “Golden Girls” but that was nor the cade. The building reminded me of a bar-b-que place with the log cabin look. Now on to the food — It was not worth the drive.

The food was mediocre at best, with items that should have been crispy not meeting expectations (such as bacon, hash browns, and fried green tomatoes). Additionally, half of the fried green tomatoes were actually red, not green. The prices would have been reasonable if the food had been better. It seems that there may have been a change in the kitchen staff, as the current cooks do not deserve the 4.4-star average rating. Disappointingly, there was also no cool Golden Girls theme as expected.
