Panera Bread - Wallingford

This restaurant is not recommended. I waited over 20 minutes in the drive-thru multiple times, even when there were only one or two cars ahead of me. The older man who seemed to be the manager did not communicate effectively with his team. I received the wrong order which was cold, despite being charged for a coffee that should have been free with my subscription. After waiting another 10 minutes for the correct order, I tried to communicate the issue with the manager but another worker came to the window asking the same thing. I had to leave without resolving the issue. Overall, the experience was frustrating and confusing.

While I generally like this location and they are normally well staffed and wait times are pretty low, today was just terrible. Came in a littler earlier to avoid the lunch rush. Waited over 30 minutes for our dine in order. Drive thru and online orderswere getting preference over those who decided to dine in. They also appeared to be very understaffed today.

We stopped here in the middle of a long drive, and had soup and a sandwich. As always, both were delicious. We try and stop at Panera on drives instead of fast food, cuz the Panera food is so much better!

I was disappointed with my order of half Mac and cheese and half Caesar salad at this restaurant. The salad had wilted pieces and I never received the bread that was supposed to come with it. This was the first time I had not been fully satisfied with my meal from here, although in general they are usually very good. It's possible they were trying to conserve ingredients. Despite this experience, I still love Panera and would recommend it to others.

It took 47 minutes to receive my soup and a cold sandwich, and then they seemed to not remember my order and acted as if I was the issue. While I understand they may need more help, better communication and quicker service would greatly improve the experience.
