Simply Gourmet - Village of Lake Placid

I have been searching for decent food in Lake Placid and I have been mostly disappointed. If you are a meat and cheese, burger/pizza/deli sandwich kinda person, then this may be your place. The food here is pretty basic. I was in search of a nice salad and soup. The carrot soup was basic but good (certainly not gourmet) but I would get again. The salad (blue cheese pear) was disappointing. I was surprised to find canned pears on the salad instead of fresh. This is a simple salad but it really needs that fresh pear. The salad was clearly thrown together with mass produced ingredients. No prep involved. So I went to the grocery store right next door and realized that for $9.50 I could have purchased the salad ingredients and thrown together at least 2 large salads but it was $12.50 to get one at Simply Gourmet.

Very pleased with Simply Gourmet. They made our cake and desserts for our wedding. (We chose them because we love their sandwiches as well! The menu was very customizable. We live out of state and it was extremely easy to plan with the help of their staff. Everyone raved about how good the desserts were. I highly recommend to consider for your wedding or event!

The sandwiches were amazing .we took them hiking with us along with the creamy jalapeno cheddar soup . They Returned $100 bill to me 8 hours after I had mistakenly left it in their tip jar !!!! All the girls that are absolutely amazing people !!

I like the large sandwich selection. Had a pleasant experience and plan to come back.
