Red Fox - Saranac Lake

We stumbled upon this gem during a quick weekend getaway, thanks to a recommendation from our hotel staff. It was exactly what we were hoping for—casual yet slightly upscale. We ordered the veal and chicken Parmesan, which were around $30 each and came with a salad and some delicious rolls. We even asked for more rolls because they were that good! Our server had a lot on her plate that Saturday evening, yet she remained attentive and helpful throughout our meal. The menu features a variety of steak, seafood, and Italian dishes, and while it is a bit on the pricier side, it's reasonable for a tourist area. The portion sizes were generous, and while it may not have been the absolute best meal of our trip, it was definitely enjoyable.

The food and service were exceptional. The portions are quite generous and incredibly tasty. The view is also lovely. We will definitely be back!

This place has always been a fantastic spot for consistently good food and drinks. The bar could be excellent as well, but there is rarely a bartender, even on weekends.

We took our daughter out for dinner to celebrate her achieving her GN. The meal was excellent. I was disappointed to find that the rack of lamb is no longer on the menu, but the duck was fantastic. Our daughter mentioned that the Linguini Red Fox was delicious, so I’ll be sure to order that next time.

What a fantastic meal! Yes, it is a bit pricey, and the bill can add up quickly, but I assure you it's worth every penny. I had the lobster for lunch, and it was amazing. It came with a salad, and I also added the grilled mixed vegetables, which were all delicious. Everyone at the table felt the same way about the meal. We all enjoyed it thoroughly!
