La Tasca - Villa La Angostura

We went there because of Tripadvisor recommendations. Excellent food, limited menu emphasize quality of food. Fish, several meat options as starters or main course. No real vegetarian options. Excellent quality, beautiful selection of wines per glass. Well-trained staff. No reservation is recommended at about 8 a.m. Argentins use to eat late meaning restaurant is packed at 10 o'clock. We went there twice due to beautiful experiences.

We ordered several appetizers and entrees to share. The food is excellent and service is just as good. From a price perspective, similar to other restaurants in the service are similar fare.

Lunch stopped and were pleasantly surprised by Spanish and seafood menu. My wife had a tortilla with chorizo and I had saffron rice with octopus and shrimp. Excellent pisco mad, and sangria, the sangria was excellent, how was the octopus and shrimp shell. Ready with flan and dulce de leche. To dinner tonight with friends.

Feeling hungry on a day trip from Balaroche, we pulled in without checking reviews. Very impressed by the young lady speaking good English, Beatles/Pink Floyd music and upmarket ambiance. Only needing something light, I selected the Caesar salad with prawns. While probably not their signature...dish, the prawns were cooked to perfection and fresh. The menu in English) was substantial and varied. A great restaurant in a delightful town. Came away having really relaxed and enjoying the experience.

We had a good meal and the woman, who appeared to the owner, was also our server. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed her recommendation of the paella and it was a very large portion loaded with seafood.
