The glass building seems like a weird thing to be in, and I would prefer the beach chairs outside the building, but this café/restaurant is a nice place to either have a nice drink or a lunch while watching the boats go by along the...Douro river. No-nonsense food and service, straight to the case and that is what you can expect from this place in general. It was out go to place when ending up for lunch across the river of Porto.

Dinner for 5 we were all very well looked after. Food was good quality and our waiter was very experienced, polite and attentive. The location of the restaurant is also very good over looking the Douro river. Good value for money, you will need to...reserve a table

Dinner for four with a great view back across the river to Ribeira lit up at night. Efficient if not overly friendly staff, reasonable prices and a decent wine list but the real highlight for me was the "tripas" - tripe cooked with white beans and chourico. I appreciate this may not be to everyone's taste but it was one of the best things I ate the whole trip. The menu is long and varied enough to accommodate most tastes, although my wife reported that the lasagne was 'unusual'.
